The riverfront town of Damariscotta, together with its neighboring “twin village” of Newcastle, is located in the heart of MidCoast Maine atop the Damariscotta River. Damariscotta, which means “river of little fish,” and the surrounding area are home to historic Maine landmarks, such as Pemaquid Lighthouse and Fort William Henry.
